Master Hsin-tao Met His Holiness Gyalwang Drukchen Rinpoche
1995 (At the age of 47)
- In January, The first issue of “Prajñā Quarterly” was published. The Head Priest of Mormon visited Ling Jiou Mountain Wu Sheng Monastery. This year was recognized as “Ling Jiou Mountain International Religious Year”.
- At the end of February, Master Hsin-tao, with his disciples, went Dalrjeeling, India on an invitation from His Holiness Gyalwang Drukchen Rinpoche.
- In April, the New York Monastery was established in USA.
- In May, Master Hsin-tao led the Sangha to visit Hong-xi Museum of Art.
- In June, the first overseas Monastery was established in Jakarta, Indonesia.
- In August, the second Shui-lu Mahāpujā place was changed to Taoyuan Arena Stadium (Domed Stadium). Master Hsin-tao visited Russian museum, and had religious exchange with Orthodox Christen, Shamanism, and Tibetan Buddhism.
- In September, visited the United States and Canada’s Judisches Memorial Museum, Canadian Museum of Civilization and Jewish Canadian Study, Museum of Tolerance, etc.
- In October, following Maharshi’s method of meditation, Master Hsin-tao conducted Chan meditation for the public.
- In October, published trial issue of “MWR Quarterly Newsletter”.
- In November, Dorzong Rinpoche of Kagyu School came to Lin Jiou Mountain, and delivered discourse on Madhamika and “Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhāvā” doctrine.
- In December, The ground-breaking work for MWR started in Yong-he District, New Taipei City. Various guests including religious representatives and visitors came to visit the site where gathered more than ten thousands visitors. In the same month, Dr. Dennis Parnell Sullivan, Director of Harvard Religious Research Center visited and organized academic conference on religious exchange.
