1996, (At the age of 48)
- In January, Master Hsin-tao conducted seven days retreat on “Samathā” and “Vipassayanā” meditation. In the same month, he visited to American National Museum, and sent representatives to visit National Canadian Museum.
- In February, MWR applied to join the American Association of Museums.
- In March, published first issue of “Museum of World Religions Newsletter”.
- In April, Ven. Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche of Karma Kagyu School visited to Ling Jiou Mountain and conducted “Mahāmudrā meditation”.
- In May, led Sangha for Religious Pilgrimage to Middle East, visited pilgrimage places of Christian, Judaism, Islam, Baha’i in Turkey and Israel. He was also invited to speak on Buddhism.
- In July, Beru Khyentse Rinpoche visited to Ling Jiou Mountain and delivered the dhamma.
- In August, organized Mahāpujā and invited Drukpa Kagyu, Gylwang Drukchen Rinpoch and Zhichen Bairo Rinpoche from Nyingma School to join Shui-lu Mahāpujā.
- In September, the Secretary General of Turkish Islamic Federation visited Ling Jiou Mountain. In the same month, MWR conducted Preparatory international tender, where more than three hundred designing engineering firms participated. Among them, the British company “3D Concept” won the contract, but terminated within 6 months for some reasons. Then, the construction and design, signed agreement transferred to the bidder RAA Company who built the Jewish Holocaust Memorial Museum, and for the layout and design of software signed agreement contracted with Harvard University, Center for the Study of World Religions.
- In October, Master Hsin-tao attended International Conference, “Asian Conference on Religion and Peace (ACRP)” in Thailand.
- In November, Master Hsin-tao led the Sangha to pilgrimage to Myanmar (Burma) and participated in Mo-gok Vipassana Center. After that he went looking for his mother at his birth place Lashio , Myanmar seventh time but he did not successes.
