2008, (At the age of 60)

• In January, Master Hsin-tao conducted “Million Times Chanting of Mahā-Karunā Mantra” (Dhāraṇī Great Compassion Mantra) for the victims of natural disaster of China heavy snow storms.
   
• In February, he was invited to participate in the conference “Vedic Philosophy and Buddhism – Promoting Global Peace”, in Bangalore, India, which was organized by “Art of Living International Foundation”. In this conference he presented his lecture on “The Experience of Ethics and Peace”.
   
• In March, led the Sangha members pilgrimage to Thailand and Laos, and with the Sangharājā of Thailand, Nyansamvara Suvaddhana co-chaired the “Wealth Golden Buddha Bun Casting Mahāpujā” ceremony. In the same month, ling Jiou Mountain Monastery Yangon, Myanmar (also known as an International Meditation Center), Master Hsin-tao, established Rain Camp to take care kids and children, also teachers training in Myanmar. The aim behind establishing this camp is to help those parents who go for work and do not have much time to take care their kids during heavy rain season. Something due to heavy rain, parents are unable to take proper care of their children.
   
• In April, Master Hsin-tao organized first “Global Inner Peace Movement” in Da-an Forest Park, Taipei, and appealed to the citizen of Taiwan to reduce, sound pollution, food pollution and carbon pollution, and advocated “Nine Assertions to Love for Earth and Life”. Also created Cyber forum on “Peaceful Empty Mind – As Universal Blessing”, organized performers to sing and pray for world peace, such as, “Love and Peace – Peaceful Empty Mind”, and “Meditations for Ten Thousands”, etc.
   
• In May, The relief team from GFLP to help Cyclone Nargis victims in Myanmar. This was the first relief team from Taiwan, they along the Irrawaddy River to go for relief at the disaster places; In the same month, Master Hsin-tao led all members of the Sangha and conducted joint-together practice of “Amitabha Sutra” dedicated merits to victims of major earthquake in Si-chuan, China. Also, announced to the members of the Sangha to go for rescue of the victims; Master went to Mongolia, on an invitation, to participate in International Conference on “Contemporary Buddhism in Mongolia, Its Future Developments and Challenges”. In this conference Master delivered lecture on “Mongolian Buddhism and Contemporary Significance”, and met with Mongolian President Mr. Nambaryn Enkhbayar. After this conference, he was invited to join chanting ceremony “Blessing Mahāpujā for Earthquate Victims”, organized by Pao-guang Monastery, Cheng-du in Si-chuan, China. Also visited the area to care for survivors affected by earthquake.
   
• In June, National Cheng-chi University, Taipei organized the “2008 International Conference on Globalization and the Spiritual Tradition cum 9th Muslim Buddhist Dialogue”, first Muslim Buddhist Dialogue which was organized in Taiwan.
   
• In July, he went to Spain for Interreligious Dialogue Forum, on an invitation from “World Islamic League” to participate in “The World Conference on Dialogue”.
   
• In September, he participated in a conference co-organized with the Philippine Mission to U. N. in United Nations Headquarter, New York, and at the inauguration ceremony he delivered his lecture on “Towards A Global Family”, 10th Muslim Buddhist Dialogue”.
   
• In October, Master Hsin-tao conducted a blessing ceremony at 101 building, Taipei, to bless Taiwan and the World from Global Economic Recession. In this ceremony the Wealth Golden Buddha statue was taken to 101 for the blessing, Buddhist devotees and lay people bowed and received Buddha’s blessing. In the same month, the first Deputy Saṅgharāja of Thailand, Phra Phommunee, visited  Ling Jiou Mountain, presided over the “Consecration Ceremony” of the Reclining Buddha statue enshrined in Shan-shan Monastery.
   
• In November, the entire Ling Jiou Mountain held a consensus conference to implement self-practice, linage of Dhamma propagation, take “Chan and Compassion” as the Culture Heritage and Cohesion of Ling Jiou Mountain, “To Create Avatamaska World, A Mutual Creation of Love and Peaceful World” were the main vision.
