Received Highest Honor Award From Theravāda Sangha
2010 (At the age of 62)
- In March, visited to Guang-xiao Monastery, Liu-rong Monastery, and Neng-ren Monastery, in China and had cultural exchange with the local Buddhist organizations, shared the concept of Ling Jiou Mountain’s Culture with them.
- In April, went to Myanmar capital Naypyidaw (Nay Pyi Daw), and received the highest honor award from the Theravāda Sangha. “Maha Kama TaNaSaYiYa” (Teaching Chan Meditation Excellence Award) in the field of propagation of Dhamma and Meditation practice.
- In June, went to Qixia Monastery in Nanjing, to participate in “The Ceremony of Re-lighting the Buddha’s Skull Relics”, invited by Venerable Chuan-yin Mahāthera, the president of Chinese Buddhist Association. In the same month, went to India to participate in Muslim Buddhist Dialogue co-organized by Mahābodhi International Meditation Center, Bodhgaya, India, and the dialogue held in Laddakha. The aim of organizing such dialogue is to initiate interreligious exchange in India.
- In August, Master Zeng Qin, the abbot of Da Ci-en Monastery, Xi'an, China visited Ling Jiou Mountain.
- In September, Master Hsin-tao led the Sangha members to Zhenjiang to visit Pu-tuo Shan Guan-yin Bodhisattva Monastery, and paid homage to Pilu Bodhisattva in Puji Monastery. Master Hsin-tao received an invitation from “Chinese Buddhist School Forum” to participate in its first activity. The theme of this forum was “Hundred Years of Xinhai Revolution, Hundred Years of Buddhism, Spiritual Rejuvenation, Future Perspects” : topics of discussion were, the hundred years history of Buddhism, Buddhist education, Buddhist concept of Good and Charity, Towards an enterprise and modernization way..etc.
- In October, received Interfaith Visionary Award from the Temple of Understanding, USA.
